Eeek, time to starting preparing those christmas desserts to impress!!
I’m kind of known for my stacks on instagram & as it’s christmas i just had to do a christmas stack... i’m so proud of this christmas tree stack!
Even though my job is pretty conservative I have always loved being creative, baking and cooking allows me to do that!
This might look complicated but you will be surprised at how easy it actually is. This pancake recipe is used in almost all of my creations, i have also added alternatives if you wish for it to be vegan.
Give this a try and let me know how you get on! Tag me and V3Apparel in your creations 🎄
2 Eggs (you can swap out with flaxseed egg to make it vegan)**
1 cup of plain flour (i used gluten free)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 tsp of vanilla essence
1/2 cup of almond milk
green food colouring (or blue and yellow then mix together) if you don’t want to use food colouring try Spirulina (however you will need to add more vanilla to counter balance the bitter taste)
Christmas decorations - i got mine from lakeland but you can use hundreds and thousands
Grenade white chocolate spread
1. In a large mixing bowl beat the eggs together with a fork. 2. Add the milk & vanilla then beat again until combined. 3. Add the protein powder & the flour and beat together until you have a thick mixture. If you want fluffy pancakes add more flour until you have a thick batter! 4. Spoon out 2 tablespoons of the mixture into a separate bowl. 5. In the large mixing bowl add yellow food colour and a drip of blue colouring ( you won’t need a lot of blue just one drip as it’s very dark!) mix together until you have your desired green christmas tree colour! 6. To a frying pan, add coconut oil and put on a medium heat. 7. Start with the base of the christmas tree - add a lot of the pancake mixture and cook. 8. Each time add a little bit less of the pancake mixture to create a pyramid effect with the pancakes. 9. Stack the pancakes to great the christmas tree. 10. Once all the mixture is used, in a bowl add two heaped tablespoons of grenade white chocolate spread, then mix blue and yellow food colour like before until you have the same colour. 11. Use the back of the fork to put the spread onto the pancakes to create the ‘tree’ texture. 12. Do this all around the pancakes and top with your favourite toppings!!
